Minutes

Alvin RC Club

23 January 2009

Jack Kimbrough, President, called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM.

Tom Stancliff, Secretary, presented the November minutes.

Grady Owens, Treasurer, reported on the club’s finances.

OLD BUSINESS

Club 40 Racing – Texas City is planning two races for 2010. There are a few clubs up north planning some races. Alvin RC will probably do at least one race. Tom is designing an electronic lap counter display. Steve Leslie is our coordinator for the Alvin Club.

The IRS form 990N has been filed.

New Business

Ken White is now a GRAND FATHER.

There was a discussion about the condition of the club drive. The cost to asphalt the drive is approximately $17,000. The cost to add concrete washout will be approximately $1,000. Tim Haskins moved to authorize up to $1,500 for wash out delivered. The vote carried. Mike Hammett has been approached to do the tractor work.

The break-in was discussed. The suggestion was made to remove the iron cash box and use a coffee can for the coke donations. An alarm system has been donated to replace the cameras destroyed during the break-in.

The club will donate $25 for the Haiti relief fund.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:19.
